An air-cooled chiller is a machine designed to cool water, consisting of a compression refrigeration cycle whose condenser is cooled by air that is driven by powerful fans.

This is how an air-cooled chiller works:

An air-cooled chiller consists of a compression refrigeration cycle. The basic components of the refrigeration cycle are the evaporator, compressor, condenser, and expansion valve. The refrigerant found in the evaporator is sucked by the compressor, causing a low pressure at this point. Since the pressure in the evaporator is low, so is its temperature.
