During the Bipolar Ionisation purification process, REME-HALO® ionises the air by electrically charging the surrounding and air molecules. These negatively charged ions bond with the positively charged particles like dust, dirt, dander, germs and smoke. When bonded, these particles become heavy and settle down or stick to nearby surfaces. Apart from ionisation, the photohydroionisation purification process releases hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in the surrounding atmosphere, chemically reacting with the microbes and pollutants that are settled on the surface or in the air and renders them harmless.

Hydroxyl ions are produced during Bipolar ionisation purification process(this is done by PHI Technology which produces Superoxide Hydrogen Peroxide). These hydroxyl ions remove hydrogen atoms from the proteins on the corona virus’s capsid. This results in failure of virus’s capability to replicate and infect further.

Furthermore, Hydrogen Peroxide produced in the Photohydroionisation purification process alters the DNA/RNA structure of bacteria, fungi, and viruses proves highly effective against the SARS-CoV-2 or Coronavirus.

According to the recent studies conducted by the WHO, traces of the coronavirus have been found to survive on the surfaces up to 24-72 hours.
